Punjabi . . . Hmm?  Sounds like a new Olympic sporting event.

Or, perhaps it’s the latest model of one of those cute, one-seater cars puttering along beside you on local streets.

Could it be a medical term?  Instead of a tonsil-lectomy or a bursectomy, you might be scheduled for a “punjabi.”

Maybe it’s the latest specialty sandwich at your favorite fast food joint.  “I’ll take two Punjabis. Please, hold the pickles and mayo.”

Actually, Punjabi is a language, in fact, one of the ten most spoken languages in the world, especially in Pakistan and India.  But, according to one Google search, 250,000 people speak Punjabi in their homes right here in the U.S.

Not surprisingly, it is one of the languages inclu-ded in this year’s special JESUS Films DVD Christ-mas Giveaway.”

Christmas is absolutely one of the most fertile times of the year to give people of other religions and languages the opportunity to learn who Jesus really was and is.

It’s a time for giving and receiving gifts.  And many internationals living among us would be open to receive and view a film in their mother tongue.

So, for the past several years, the JESUS Film Project (a Cru ministry) has asked our arm of the ministry (Cru Resources) to partner with them in distributing specially designed JESUS Films (the original version in 24 languages, a version for children in 24 languages, a version for women in 23 languages, plus a combination edition including both the original film and the children’s version in 8 languages).

For only $1.12 to $2.25 PER DVD, churches, min-istries, and even individuals can purchase boxes of 100 DVDs to give away in their spheres of opportun-ity.  (Feel free to call our phone number at the top of the page for more information.)

But, whether or not you give away DVDs, you can participate in this popular Christmas ministry.   We are sending you one bilingual booklet of The Four Spiritual Laws.   The foreign language in the book- let is included on one or more of the four special edition DVDs.  Do you find your language in the lists below?  (Note: A bilingual booklet was sent to those who received a hard copy of our Nov. newsletter).

The booklets are not included with the DVDs.  We saved the leftovers from the specialty print jobs we formerly produced at our office before downsizing late last year.  What better way could they be used than to spark ongoing prayers as part of the JESUS Film DVD Christmas strategy!!

Please join us in praying for those who will receive this gift!  May many of them have their minds and hearts open to believe that God loves them and sent His Son, Jesus, for them.
