Welcome to Day 4! At 6:30 A.M., we had eggs, bacon, potatoes covered in cheese, and tropical fruits for breakfast. Around 7:30, we departed for the site to get the day started. In the morning we fed the younger kids to make sure they’re well-nourished. Following that, some of us continued the home visits while the rest painted the inside of the community transformation center (a.k.a. dining hall, a.k.a. church, a.k.a. playroom). (New writer taking over, the wi-fi is very spotty here, minutes pass by where we’re not able to continue blogging. Gabriel and Caleb stepped away, so I’ll pick up where they left off-Christian) We then proceeded to fill large bags with all kinds of food items for the families in the community: rice, beans, chocolate, spaghetti, etc. We formed an assembly line and began our work. Pastor José told us to not simply put food in bags, but to pray over the food, that it would truly be a blessing to these families, that they would praise God for his provision. So we did. We began to pray out loud as we quickly filled the bags, declaring blessings over the food. Singing and worship broke out as we lifted the name of our King. We sang loud and rejoiced, and did not stop until the entire stage of the CTC was filled! We hope you enjoy some of the pictures from today’s activities…we’ll let them speak for themselves.
Continue praying for us,
D.R. Student Team 2019
