We live in a world that tells us that we must make a name for ourselves and that to find success we need to find a way to be victorious by our own strength. But those of us who have tried that path realize quickly that it leaves us confused, burnt out, and frustrated because we were never designed to do this life without the powerful and loving presence of God and His strength within us.
Join us for the HS Camp or MS Retreat to learn about how we get off of the victors podium and onto the altar of God as a living sacrifice, drawing on HIS strength and HIS victory. This path is what leads us to fulness of life, hope, and victory when we grasp onto the one who is already Victorious, Jesus!
This vision has come out of 1 John 5:3-5 which says 3 Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. 4 For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. 5 And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
We can’t wait for what God is going to do as we experience His victory in our lives!

Christ Journey
Christ Journey Church offers two distinct summer experiences for students. The Middle School Summer Retreat is a two-day event in Miami for students from 5th to 7th grade, focused on dynamic games, worship, and teaching. The Student Camp, for 8th to 12th graders, is a week-long sleep-away camp in central Florida, featuring engaging activities, worship sessions, and the opportunity to grow in faith and friendships. Both events emphasize the theme of celebrating victory in Christ.

This summer, students completing 5th grade – 7th grade will experience a life-changing weekend retreat right here in Miami. Get ready to experience a face-melting powerful environment where you’ll encounter crazy games, amazing worship and powerful teaching. You’ll make new friends, grow closer to old friends, make life-long memories, and celebrate the VICTORY you have in Christ!

What are the dates and cost of the Summer Retreat?
June 28th-29th; $70 per student. If they have not already paid in full, have the parent look in their email for payment links. They should have received a confirmation email when they registered and it will have info about making additional payments. Please have families contact our staff at [email protected] if they have any questions regarding the balance due.
What if a student needs a scholarship for the retreat?
We have limited scholarships available for our students who may need some assistance. We never want money to be the reason you can’t go! In order to be considered, please email [email protected] and you will be sent a form that you can fill out. Once that’s completed, someone will be reaching out to you about next steps.
What about High School Students?

What time do we need to arrive at Christ Journey on Friday, June 28th?
Leaders are asked to arrive at 8:00 AM on Monday morning. Students will begin arriving by 9:00AM.
Where should I be picked up on Saturday, June 29th?
Pick up is at the Christ Journey, Coral Gables campus at 10:00pm.
Where will I sleep at night?
Students will be sleeping in classrooms. You will need to bring your own air mattress or sleeping pad if you prefer that. They will be sleeping on the ground. There will be a 1:5 adult/student ratio in each room. Of course, the areas will be segregated by gender; boys will not be allowed in the girls areas and vice versa.
Who do I speak to about medications, allergies, or a health condition?
Our Camp Medic/Nurse will be available at Check-in. All parents need to review and sign the Medical Information Form at Check-in, and turn in All medications. Over-the-Counter medications are available for your students from the Medic/Nurse and cannot be kept by the students. If you would like to send specific OTC medication for your student, it must be turned in with the original packaging, and clearly labeled for your student. All prescription medication must be in the original prescribed pharmacy container with the original dosage label. We will not accept medications in other containers.
How will we keep everyone safe?
Students will be in a small group of students with at least 2 trained and background checked volunteer leaders for each group. We will have a medical professional on the trip for the purpose of giving students medication and providing medical aid, if needed. In the event of a more serious medical need, 911 will be contacted and/or a Christ Journey staff leader will take the student in for appropriate medical attention. In all cases, the parents/guardians of the student will be contacted.
Are there emergency contact numbers for parents and leaders?
Only in the event of an emergency contact: Andrea McWhirter 305-479-8068 or Brooke Espinosa 786-856-8834.
Leaders may keep their cell phone but please DO NOT abuse the privilege of having a phone. You may take a few pictures, use it to stay in contact with the staff and leaders and for emergencies.
Will you be posting pictures and videos from the retreat?

Will there be food at the retreat?
Students will need to eat breakfast before arriving on Friday, but then we will be providing the rest of the meals, (lunch and dinner on Friday, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday), plus plenty of fun snacks!

Student Camp is our annual week-long sleep-away camp experience for students just completing 8th-12th grade. Get ready to celebrate the VICTORY we have in Christ! Students and trusted leaders will travel up to central Florida, participate in crazy games, amazing worship and powerful teachings. They will grow in their faith, build amazing friendships, and experience some crazy fun! Student Camp 2024 will no doubt be the best week of the summer!

Food at camp?
Leaders and students will need to eat breakfast before they arrive on Monday morning to Christ Journey Church. We will have pizza, sides & drinks available before we load buses on Monday afternoon. Please inform us of allergies prior to camp so we may notify the campsite. They will do their best to have alternative meals and snacks available. You may want to bring a little money to purchase snacks while at camp at the snack stand.
How will we get to and from camp?
We will be riding in air-conditioned, chartered buses. If a student must be dropped off or picked up from the campsite it must be pre-arranged with the Student Ministry Staff prior to camp.
