FAQ
The most frequently asked questions
What will my kid learn at CJ Kids?
The most important thing we do in CJ Kids is share the gospel. We want babies, preschoolers, and elementary kids to learn who God is through his word, know Jesus is their personal savior and own their faith in all circumstances. Our heart is for kids to build a foundation of faith that last.
What will my kid experience in CJ Kids on a Sunday?
Big games, loud worship, and creative Bible teachings are some of the ways we bring the fun in CJ Kids. Not to mention the awesome volunteers who make church a place where kids want to come back every week. As kids build relationships with leaders and other kids, they gain the support and confidence to grow in their faith.
How do I check my kid in to CJ Kids?
On your first visit, look for the CJ Kids check-in area. If you can’t find it, one of our staff or volunteers will be happy to help you!
At check-in, you’ll be welcomed by a CJ Kids volunteer eager to meet your family and show you how CJ Kids works. To check your child in, we’ll need some information at that time, including a family member’s name, your child’s name and birthday, your address, your phone number, and any special instructions. We’ll be there every step of the way, right up to when you drop your kids off at the appropriate room, so feel free to ask questions!
How does CJ Kids ensure my kid is safe and secure?
In CJ Kids, safety is our highest priorities. That’s why we have a secure check-in system. Upon check-in, you’ll receive matching identification stickers. Your child will need to wear their name tag sticker and you will need to keep the matching tag. After the service, you’ll show the CJ Kid leader your matching tag for your child to be released from their room.
Every CJ Kids volunteer leader is screened, participates in a background check, and receives appropriate training from our staff. In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will either send you a text message or call you if needed.
If I have a kid with special needs is there anything I should know?
When we say, “CJ Kids has a place for every child to explore the love of Jesus” we mean it. If your kid has special needs, we have a Buddies team to partner with your family as you participate in the life of Christ Journey. CJ Kids Buddies will join your kid throughout the entire Sunday experience.
