Puerto Rico Mission Trip: Day 4

Rome wasn’t built it in a day but IT WAS BUILT! Today all rebars were manually finished and installed in Orvie’s house and the concrete beams were nailed in from the inside and outside. The next goal is to pour the concrete but before the real work is the HARD WORK!

With this kind of mission… teamwork makes the dream work or else! Veronica and Priscilla filled the buckets with sand and rocks while Aaron, Angel, Josh and Isreal carried the buckets up to the second story! A total of 60 buckets, weighing about 45lbs each, were carried up to the second story, so let’s just say we all got our workout in today!

The HARD work starts tomorrow- we will begin mixing and pouring the concrete. As we work and the fatigue sets in we have had to remind ourselves that whatever we do we do it for the Lord! Most importantly, we have all truly experienced joy as we continue to serve here in Puerto Rico!
