Miami YFC: I Have a Confession To Make…

I have a confession to make.

I have been asking you for the wrong things! In order for Youth for Christ to reach teenagers with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ, I have been asking you to volunteer and donate. I have made the practical needs paramount and I have barely mentioned our dire and most-pressing need of prayer.

I confess. I have underestimated prayer. I have made it an after thought to the work. Don’t misunderstand me, we have a prayer strategy at YFC. Our staff and board pray constantly. It’s even the first line on our staff job descriptions: Pray for students, volunteers and donors.

My confession is that I have not urged YOU to go before the God of Heaven on behalf of the lost teenagers in our city. Well, I am asking now.

We are fighting a battle that cannot be won by human hands. Prayer is the greatest defense we have to transforming this generation. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms…With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” -Eph. 6:12, 18 NIV

Can I ask you to have a serious talk to God about YFC?
• Our staff and volunteers need protection. Many of them have financial and health challenges.
• Our students need answers. Many question God’s existence and love.
• We need God to supply all our needs. Fundraising is stressful when we think it depends on us.

Our team would love to know that you are committing to pray for us regularly and specifically. Will you let us know that you stand with us by
emailing our main office and asking to be added to our prayer list?  Just send an email to [email protected].

Counting on You,
