Some of you may remember Angel, who asked for a YFCamp trip for Christmas! Well, she’s no longer alone – we have five students who want to go to YFCamp, “where everything changes.”
This will be our first year taking kids to camp, starting next week on July 27. We have already fundraised with students by selling donuts after-school, and we held several car washes as well. But, the truth is that it’s going to take a lot more than that to help these kids get to camp! A gift of $450 covers five fun-filled days at Southwind Camp in central Florida, as well as transportation and food.
It is so important to get kids to camp because camp offers uninterrupted relational ministry time with students. Not only that, but these trips are designed to create an environment that invites God to transform the lives of young people through shared experiences, outdoor challenges, and times of solitude that draw students to the heart of God within the context of authentic relationships and memorable learning experiences. Will you help us get our kids to camp this year? It could very well change a young person’s life for all eternity!
