When we first moved to Miami, FL, (January 1988) we rented an apartment while we were house hunting. Six months later, on a sweltering day in the middle of July, it was time to pack up the apartment and move to the house. We will never forget that our new church friend, Joe Molina, showed up and worked tirelessly for hours helping us during that very long, very hot, moving day.
We enjoyed getting to know Joe and his sweet wife, Vicki, while we all attended the same church together (now called Christ Journey Church). But after Joe and Vicki moved away (and later we moved away), we somehow lost contact with one another. What an absolutely delightful surprise it was to receive an email last August from DR. Joe Molina, Chaplain to the Corps of Cadets, Adjunct Professor, and Director of Religious Activities at The Citadel (The Military College of South Carolina), Charleston, SC!
In subsequent emails, we learned that Valor is one of the 24 religious groups Joe oversees at The Citadel. Valor is the Cru ministry for college and high school ROTC cadets and midshipmen, veterans on college campuses, and cadets at foreign military service academies.
In our work with Cru Resources, we are grateful for the opportunity to help supply Cru’s evangelistic and discipleship ministry tools in support of Cru Valor and other ministries.*
Thank you for valuing us and our ministry as part of a much bigger picture!
* While perusing 24 pages of recent Order Status Reports, we noted that during those 24 days we had shipped out ministry materials to 32 different states, as well as to Norway, Singapore, and Australia. These orders included English-speaking churches, Hispanic churches, Christian schools, crisis pregnancy centers, a variety of Cru ministries and other Christian ministries, as well as many individual “ministering Christians.”
