It has been about a month since our return from the medical missions in Guatemala. The theme verse for this mission was 1 Chronicles 16:24 – “Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.” Prior to and throughout our week in Guatemala, this verse was our driving force as we engaged with the community of El Pajal.
Our mission partner, 410 Bridge, was instrumental in organizing and setting up for the three and a half days of clinic. We saw a total of just under 300 people – every person received medical care, lab tests, and given appropriate medications. We also had the opportunity to pray with each person, and we distributed 100 Spanish Bibles.
It was truly a blessing to show the love of Jesus in such a tangible way. I am thankful to God for His faithfulness to accomplish His work through this medical missions, and for keeping the team safe and healthy during all this COVID craziness. I am so grateful for the wonderful opportunity to labor with such an amazing team.
As I reflect on my week in Guatemala, I am burdened for the spiritually lost who do not yet know Jesus. I will continue to pray for the community of El Pajal, but God is also reminding me that I still need to daily “declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples”, right here in Miami.
Thank you for your prayers and support, and to God be all the glory for all the things He has done!
Blessings,
Lynette
