For Giannelly, Christ Journey Church became a place of belonging, growth, and transformation during one of the most meaningful seasons of her life.
Less than a year into her and her fiancé’s new life in salvation, they found themselves surrounded by a church family that embraced them with open arms from the very beginning. From the moment Giannelly reached out about baptism, followed shortly by her fiancé’s own baptism journey, they experienced genuine care, encouragement, and support every step of the way.
To her, the love she feels within this church reflects the love of Jesus Himself.
She describes Christ Journey as a place where people can come exactly as they are, no matter where they are in life, and find community, encouragement, and spiritual support. In her 26 years of life, she says she has never witnessed a church pour so deeply into its community, not only through physical acts of service, but through spiritual nourishment as well.
One of the most impactful parts of her journey has been worship.
The music at Christ Journey Church opened her eyes to a deeper connection with God and helped her discover a new way of praising Him that resonates deeply within her soul. Through worship, she found another way to experience God’s presence personally and powerfully.
The Sunday messages have also shaped her faith in meaningful ways. For Giannelly, the teachings help bring God’s Word to life, showing how Scripture applied in biblical times, how it still applies today, and how it speaks directly into personal life experiences.
Beyond the services, she has found connection through the church café, groups, and community spaces where friendships are formed and faith can be shared freely. These relationships have created a safe place to pray together, encourage one another, and celebrate the ways God is moving in each person’s life.
Looking ahead, Giannelly’s heart is filled with gratitude for what God has done through this church in such a short time. As Christ Journey celebrates 100 years, she prays that the church continues its mission of spreading the Gospel and leading people to Jesus for generations to come.
Her story is a reminder that lives are still being transformed every day, and that sometimes a church becomes much more than a building. It becomes family.
Amen.
