For Lorena, Christ Journey Church has been the place where her family experienced the life-changing power of God in ways she never imagined possible.
For years, she attended church faithfully with her children while her husband stayed home, only joining the family on special holidays and occasions. Though she continued praying and trusting God, she never could have fully imagined what He was preparing to do in their family’s story.
Then one day, everything began to change.
Her husband surprised her by asking if he could start attending church with them regularly. It was a simple question, but for Lorena, it marked the beginning of something extraordinary.
Just three months later, the man who had spent most of his life identifying as an atheist raised his hand and gave his life to Jesus.
It was a moment their family will never forget.
In August, Lorena and her husband were baptized together, publicly declaring their faith side by side. For their entire family, it became a powerful reminder of God’s grace, mercy, and ability to transform hearts.
Today, their home looks different.
Their children are growing up rooted in church life and genuinely look forward to Sundays. As a family, they now worship, learn, and grow together in faith. What once felt impossible has become their reality.
One of the most meaningful parts of this season has been joining a married couples group at Christ Journey Church. Through that community, they have continued growing stronger in their relationship with Christ and with each other, while building friendships grounded in faith and encouragement.
Looking back, Lorena sees God’s hand through every step of the journey. Her heart is filled with gratitude, not only for the transformation within her own family, but for the church family that walked beside them through it all.
