For Christy, Christ Journey Church represents a fresh start, a place where faith feels alive again.
She began attending in August of 2024, making her part of a newer chapter in the church’s 100 year story. Before finding Christ Journey, she had experienced seasons in other churches where God did not feel fully at the center. Those experiences left her feeling burned out and empty, searching for something more.
From her very first visit, something felt different.
She describes the worship as a holy celebration, like a glimpse of heaven on earth. Even though she came in with her guard up, shaped by past experiences, she was met with warmth and genuine welcome. The Christ Journey family embraced her and her own family as if they had known them forever.
One moment in particular stood out. Pastor Ryan was preaching, using the image of a hike to illustrate the message. For Christy, it felt as though she was on that journey herself, walking step by step and learning more about God along the way.

It did not take long for her to get involved. By the fall of 2024, she began serving with CJ Students on Wednesday nights, pouring into the next generation. Now, she is prayerfully considering stepping into even more areas of service.
For Christy, joining this church has been more than just attending services. It has been stepping into a family.
Looking ahead, she is filled with gratitude and expectation for what is to come. As Christ Journey celebrates 100 years, her story is a reminder that the impact of a church is not only found in its history, but in the new lives still being changed today.
