Good morning, Christ Journey!

As you prepare to gather in Coral Gables or Kendall in Miami… or anywhere around the world if you’re joining us online, our power-packed team of 12 is preparing to worship Bahama-style at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in McLean’s Town, Grand Bahama. We had a long day of travel yesterday, making our way over to the island, but the seas were calm and not one of us experienced any effects of the ferry ride. Yes and Amen!

Some things we already know about our week: it’s gonna be hot, we’re gonna eat a lot of fish, and we’re gonna use up all of our bug spray. So we could use your prayers for energy during our workdays and for God to minimize the physical distractions that will try to pull us away from serving the people in the community. We begin tomorrow, working on a vegetable garden at St. Matthew’s Baptist Church in the morning and hosting a VBS (Vacation Bible School) at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in the afternoon. Please pray that God would give us knowledge and wisdom to execute these tasks for His great glory and for the good of these precious people.

(By the way, the kids on this mission are amazing and have easily made quick friendships with each other.)
