Day 1

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matt 11:28. God, we know that many around the world are in grief and strife. We pray for a removed burden off their hearts in Jesus name, so that they may feel your presence with them that will bring them peace, hope, and rest.

Day 2

“Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.” 1 John 2:9-10. Where do you need to let light into your relationships? God help us stay out of the darkness!

Day 3

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.” 1 Peter 1:3-4. God help us live in the light of this truth today!

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” Romans 1:16. Thank you Jesus! Help us find the courage and joy in sharing Your truth! May it be spread far and wide, through us, unashamed this Easter season!

Day 5

“All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.” Psalm 86:9. Lord, until all nations worship your holy name, we pray for your peace and righteous justice to cover the nations and guide those in leadership with wisdom and mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“​​Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.” 2 Corinthians 1:3. To the Father of all comfort, we pray for your care over our loved ones and those experiencing grief. Help me show your comfort to others in their pain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Ephesians 3:14-21. Lord, lead me to greater faith and trust in you than I could ever imagine! Open my heart to receive more of your love! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

“Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”John 11:25-26. You are the resurrection & life! Grant me courage to invite others to Easter so that more come alive in you! Amen!

“Blessed is the person who trusts in the Lord…He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by a stream. He won’t fear when the heat comes, and his leaves will be green. In a year of drought he won’t be concerned, nor will he stop producing fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8. Thank you, Lord, that no matter the season, with you we are deeply rooted and safe. Amen!

Day 10

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.” Deuteronomy 7:9. It is comforting to know that the God of Moses is the same God loving us today. Thank you for your steadfast love!

Day 11

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” Psalm 91:4. If you are facing a tough situation, I pray you are reminded that you are not alone. The Lord is an ever-present refuge where you can find rest. The battle is His. Just rest.

Day 12

“Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Luke 18:27. Nothing is impossible for God; there is no prayer too big or too bold. The Father of all creation is able to do more than your mind can even fathom. So don’t put God in a box, pray big, believe boldly, and rest in his faithfulness. Amen!

Day 13

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! The Lord looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭33‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭ESV. Father, we pray for our nation and those surrounding it. We pray we may keep you at the center of our country and our decisions. Amen!

“For one will scarcely die for a righteous person though perhaps for a good person, one would dare even to die but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV. Allow our societal connections to strengthen because they are established around you. Amen!

“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? ” James‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬‬ ‭ESV‬‬. May we remember how you have been faithful to grow us. May we walk in step with you, seeing and hearing what you need us to for the world around us can see our faith is alive in You and because of You. Amen!

“The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” John 3:35-36 ESV. May we share the love and hope that you have given us on Easter with others today. Amen!

“Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge.” Psalms 16:1 NIV. No matter what may come, I rest in knowing that God is enough for me. God, you are my #1. Today I give you praise and with you, I start this day! Amen.

“But encourage one another every day, as long as it is still called “today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.” Hebrews 3:13 NASB. Today I will share a smile, laugh with others, and spread the joy Jesus brings to my life because I will not choose death when I can have eternal life! Amen.

“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” Jeremiah 32:17 NIV. God is creatively powerful. God is personally active. Lord, act in my life today and make yourself powerfully known. Amen.

“This is the new covenant I will make with my people…I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.” Hebrews 10:16-17 NLT. God always remembers to forget my sinful failures. Thank you, Jesus, for the new covenant in your blood that allows me to live free and clean from the stains and snares of my past. Amen

“But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest.” John 4:35 NLT. People need the Lord, but they also need someone to help them find their way to him. Lord Jesus, stir me to be sensitive to someone today who needs me to share your love and story so they can find new hope in you. Amen

“Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on…” Heb 10:25 MSG. Staying personally present is part of being ready for Christ’s return. Use me Lord, to motivate others to be together in person in church this Sunday! Amen

Day 25

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” John 20:2. After the resurrection, Jesus gives the gift of peace. He sends his disciples to share peace with all. Lord, thank you that you send me out with your peace to share it with my neighbors and the world. Amen.

Day 26

Jesus answered him, “You don’t realize now what I’m doing, but later on you’ll understand.” John 13:7 ISV. Jesus humbly washing his disciples’ feet points to his greater act of service of sacrifice on the cross. Lord, thank you for showing me how to serve others. Help me to sacrificially serve those you put in my life.

Day 27

He said, “My presence will go with you, and I’ll give you rest.” Exodus 33:14 ISV. Even through tough times, God goes with us. Trusting in his constant presence will put our minds at rest. Lord, thank you for your presence always going with me through the ups and downs of life. Help me rest in you in all things. Amen.

Day 28

“God is our refuge and strength, a great help in times of distress.” Psalm 46:1 ISV. Lord, be the refuge for those in dangerous situations. Bring peace where it is needed and light the darkness in the minds of those who harm. I pray they see their errors, right their wrongs, and seek your Mercy. In your name, Amen.

“So Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I’ve seen the Lord!” She also told them what he had told her.” John 20:18. Lord, help me tell others the good news of your resurrection and of the new changed life you’ve given me. Amen.

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.” Psalm 82:3. Lord, open our hearts to our fellow man, to do as Jesus would for those who need care. We are all made in the image of God and should lift each other regardless of status. Let us unite and rise in your name. Amen.

Day 31

“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:17 NIV. With God, all battles are won. Blessed are we to have the Lord in our corner, ready to love us, to guide and strengthen us with His Word through the perils of life. Blessed be thy name, Amen.

“Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” Romans 8:34. Thank you, Jesus, for your ultimate sacrifice. We are humbled before you. May we walk in your victory and grace today and every day. Amen.

So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” John 12:13. Lord, may we be a people constantly ready to seek You and worship You! Amen.

Holy Wednesday. When faithful Mary poured perfume worth a year’s wages and treacherous Judas betrayed Jesus for one month’s wages. (John 12:5, Matthew 26:15). Lord, may we be faithful like Mary, giving you everything we have, not falling to temporary temptation, as we set our sight on eternity with You. Amen.

“…in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Philippians 2:4. God, in this self-driven world we live in, it is difficult to think less of ourselves. Help us to think of others more as you modeled in Christ.

And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. Matthew 27:50. Lord, let this day be a reflection on the great price you paid on our behalf. A gift we did not deserve, but out of love you gave willingly. Amen.

For anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14. Jesus, may we not only shine for You but also feel the warmth of Your light as our faith is renewed and our lives are changed by Your power!

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said.” Matthew 28:5-6. Thank you, God, for your resurrection power not only to give us eternal life but that our lives can now reflect a transformed people who now live for You!
