Ecuador Men’s Team: Day 5

Our days have been FULL of activities from morning to night. We have been treated like Kings!

There has been such spirit of welcoming us into the community and serving us sooo many things! We have now been to two incredible restaurants and been served so much good food, cooked and served by Margarita. She has been doing this for the ministry for over 15 years working day and night. She is such a blessing!

We have been to the center of be earth 🌏 and seen water swirl down a drain in two different directions five feet apart. We have adjusted pretty well to the altitude and we have to be careful about sun exposure since it is so intense at the Equator.

We also met the children at the Amor y Esperanza school and worshipped with Pancho and Pity at their home. We met with their small group on Wednesday, and experienced great singing, exhortation by Poncho, Pity and their oldest son Danny.

The work we were sent to do has been going well! We are working alongside a group of men hired by Poncho to do the steel work for the windows and security bars for them. They are leading and we are following. We have overcome their doubts by the fact that we are getting a lot done! It feels like we are a hand meant to fit into a properly-sized glove. The guys have been working together really well.

Wilson ( their foreman ) said about us “We work like 20 men but we talk like 40 men!” 😂 I have been teaching others including Rafael and Pancho’s son, Danny, how to weld and fabricate steel things! I feel the pleasure of God serving Him and others with my skills!!! So who knows we may end up with two welding Pastors! 👨🏼‍🏭

It’s hard to believe tomorrow is our last day of work, it is such a blessing to be a team sent by Christ Journey and our Lord and Savior. We have had a lot of fun together and I’m enjoying the fact that are growing closer in our personal relationships!

We miss our families and our church, we will be happy to be back home soon.

P.S. They are hoping to finish the school by September. There is still a lot to be done so please pray that God continues to bless them with all of their needs!🙏
