Where Have You Been When Life Falls Apart?
Some days the world feels bigger than our influence. The headlines keep coming, problems feel endless, and we start to wonder what difference our lives could possibly make. Jesus gives a different starting place. The world may feel beyond our grasp, but it is not beyond our prayers. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And that leads to a question many of us carry. Where have you been when my life is in pieces?
You Are a Treasure, Which Means You Have an Enemy
Genesis says human beings are the crown of God’s creation, made in His image, carrying real worth. And because your life is valuable, there is a thief who wants to steal, kill, and destroy. A lot of us have felt that theft. Pieces of identity, peace, innocence, joy, trust. Taken. Crushed. Lost. But what has been damaged can be restored.
Grace Loves You Before You Are Fixed
There is a kind of love that says, clean yourself up first. God’s grace says something different. I love your pieces too. Grace is unearned favor. It is God meeting you in the middle of the mess, forgiving what you cannot undo, and bringing new life where you feel stuck. Grace accepts you as you are, then empowers you to become who you were made to be.
The Fire Is Not the End of You
Real change often requires real heat. Like clay strengthened in a kiln, God can use pressure and hardship to make you strong, firm, and steadfast. The fire is not fun, but it is not pointless. He loves you as you are, but He loves you too much to leave you there.
Even If You Failed, He Still Calls Your Name
Peter denied Jesus and carried the weight of regret. Then the resurrection announcement came with two words that feel like mercy in motion: and Peter. Jesus made sure the one who failed knew he was not forgotten. He sees you too. And He is not done with you. So where have you been? The invitation is simple: bring Him your pieces, ask Him to restore the fire, and trust Him one step at a time.
