While today was a travel and settle in day, it was certainly filled with lots of joy and excitement about the work that starts tomorrow. Once we arrived at the hotel and had dinner, the team had an orientation meeting with Alfredo from One More Child, along with Pastors Freddy and Diana. The students learned that while we may travel to countries or areas where there might be a great need for resources, the most important resource we could ever bring to Colombia or any place on this earth, is the Hope of Jesus and the Gospel. Armed with the realization, that post isn’t about what we can do but rather what we can share in Christ, our team heads out tomorrow to lead worship and preach the word to a local church. Following the services, we will serve a home cooked lunch to Venezuelen refugees, present the gospel through a skit led by the students and spend the afternoon interacting and loving on the kids. Our goal? That they may find and start to follow Christ. Please be in prayer for all of the unbelievers God will present to us as an opportunity for the students to share the good news. Pray for the students who have been practicing and sharpening their skills for tomorrow. Pray for life transformed through and for Christ.
