Sunday Night
After two days of travel, we finally made it to the Ranch in the Agalta Valley of Honduras. There were twists, turns, obstacles, difficult decisions to be made, laughter, tears, and ultimately a joy and peace beyond understanding. To know and truly believe that God controls the good, the bad, the twists and the turns, is an unquantifiable gift. We covet your prayers and encouragement. We are strengthened by them. Please continue to intentionally pray for this team as we intentionally work to strengthen the Kingdom of God. Those who have prayed, supported or encouraged us, you are on mission with us. So, buckle up for an amazing journey led by the Spirit of our Lord and King.
Monday Night
We began the morning with VBS in a local village called San Carlos. We had written our own curriculum and prayed over each verse, bible story, craft, sport and game. Our goal was to convey to each child that they were “Made To Shine” – The Lord’s message to us was clear. By the end of our time, each child knew they were created in the image of God and that Jesus was for them.
After VBS, we prepared to minister to the women employees of the HOI Ranch: those who cook, clean, and serve countless people with true servant’s hearts. We prayed and prepared every detail for an afternoon of tea and Bible Study and worship, knowing the Lord was in every detail. We began with our Circle of Friend’s Anthem, “I Am Who You Say I Am”.
As the afternoon progressed, we watched guarded hearts soften and dry eyes weep. Through a powerful three-hour Bible study, the Lord ministered in ways we could never have imagined. The women opened their hearts in an effort to heal wounds that ran deeper that many rivers. We had prayed and prepared every detail, including a prayer wall that we hung prior to the study. Woman after woman hung their prayers, trusting us to faithfully intercede for their families, marriages and land. Thank you Lord for blessing US so mightily.
