Together in Prayer…
Jesus said, “A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another” – John 13:34-35
Jesus wants us to love each other. But Jesus isn’t talking about love as a warm fuzzy feeling we have about others. It’s a posture of prayer and care in spirit; prayer that seeks God’s blessing for people because it values them as fellow image bearers of our Creator Father God; and care that shows up in kind concern willing to serve people’s needs. Love is meeting needs.
This month we will be seeking to pray for the needs of every person at Christ Journey. We will be calling individuals and asking, “How can we pray for you?” Every prayer need will be kept confidential between a team of prayer intercessors to pray daily for each one until the end of September.
Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to be our Helper. Our Prayer and Care ministry will be asking and seeking God’s Helper on your behalf. When you receive your call please let us know how we can pray for you.
