We designed our display to be self-explanatory. Someone passing by our table at the post conference could easily grasp who we are, what we do, and why.
65 . . . 25 . . . 400 . . . HIKE! Well . . . no, we weren’t talking football. Panel #1 of our display simply explained that for 65 years Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) has been a caring community passionate about connecting people to Jesus Christ . . . and that . . .
We currently minister in the U.S. through 25 or more different umbrellas of targeted outreach (for example, campus, military, inner city, global aid, Christian embassies, FamilyLife, Josh McDowell, JESUS Film, Athletes in Action, etc., etc., etc) . . . and that . . .
These ministries have developed over 400 evangelism and discipleship ministry tools, in support of the WIN – BUILD – TRAIN – SEND goal: turning lost people into Christ-centered co-laborers.
But, a bright red square at the bottom of panel #1 asked a critical question:
“WHO gets these tools into the hands of Cru Staff Members and other Ministering Christians?”
A colorful paper clip chain led to the bold answer found at the top of Panel #2:
New Life Resources
A Publishing and Materials Distribution Ministry of Cru
A picture showing a handsome line-up of most of our New Life Resources Team, plus a close-up of us, and a listing of four broad categories of our ministry materials completed that panel.
A paper clip chain led to another important question at the top of panel #3:
“Who Uses Our Ministry Resources?”
There simply was not enough room to list them all, but see how many you can make out in this close-up view. Keep in mind that for every category listed there are scores, hundreds, or even more individuals who use the materials we manage and distribute.
We surely are sorry if you were not able to drop by to chat with us during the missionary conference at our church here in Peachtree City, GA last month. What a thrill it would have been to see you and to thank you personally for the part you play in our ministry. Our ministry partners have grown to be like family as we have served together over many years. We love you and thank you for being part of that family!
